New York Stock Exchange’s Parent Company Fined $10M for Cybersecurity Fail: SEC Slams ICE

The New York Stock Exchange’s parent company has been slapped with a $10 million fine for failing to properly inform the SEC about a cyber intrusion. According to the SEC, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) waited days to report the breach, violating Regulation SCI rules. The fine represents less than one percent of ICE’s Q1 2024 revenue.
