Researchers at SafeBreach discovered a glaring vulnerability in Windows Defender, enabling them to hijack the security tool and create havoc on target systems. The irony was not lost on them as they manipulated Microsoft-signed files and snuck malware into the system, all while under the nose of the ‘guard dog’ itself.
